Stewart Turner Photography is moving...

My website is up and running again. I had another conversation with a Shaw technician and was able to rebuild the existing site without too much effort. When I get some time I still plan on moving on to another provider. To view it just click on the link to the right.

Thanks
Stew

Framed reflection

This photo was taken inside a multiplate culvert with very little available light other than that of the reflection. I like how this one turned out.

Herb Robert

Taken in my back yard yesterday afternoon.

Wave Petunia Macro

I used the same technique described in the photo below. I like this one much better.

Lobelia Macro

This photo is actually a series of 5 images that were set to differing focus points. With macro photography you sometimes have difficulty achieving the full depth of field that you want. To correct for this you can take several images and "blend" them into one image using only the in focus portions of each image to complete a composite that should be tack sharp throughout the desired area. Obviously I will need to practice this but it was still fun trying.

Anticipation

Sometimes I hold my breath thinking I may actually witness the moment a new flower opens.

Millstone River, Bowen Park, Nanaimo B.C.

This image was taken along Millstone River in Bowen Park. There are a number of beautiful places along the river for photo opportunities and the enjoyable walk is a bonus.

Triptych

What is a Triptych?
A triptych is a work of art displayed in 3 sections. The three sections can be created from a single image that is cropped into three parts, as is the case here, or three images that are similar in nature or by design intended to be veiwed together.

What is this?

It is a portion of a dew covered spider web. The photo was taken slightly out of focus to create this interesting effect.

Almost Thistle Season

I love the spiral pattern that is visible on the surface of the unopened flower.
